Story
Friends and family,
We are taking part in a Spartan Race in full riot (L2) kit.
We will be mentally and physically pushing ourselves to the limit, both in training and on race day, to help make a difference for a cause that's close to our heart and worthy of this effort.
The Matt Ratana Rugby Foundation was founded in response to the tragic death of Metropolitan Police Officer Matt Ratana, who was shot and killed on duty in 2020. Aside from his work in the police, Matt worked tirelessly as rugby coach and mentor for all ages. The values of MRRF are inspired by Matt’s beliefs. MRRF supports younger people, who are at risk of exclusion, difficult times or on the fringe of joining gangs. We encourage them to practice self-acceptance, develop their mental strength and improve their overall self-confidence; to be the very best version of themselves. Funds raised by the foundation will go towards the design and delivery of community initiatives for children and young adults both nationally and internationally. The programmes will provide wrap-around support, being there for the people that need it most.
Please help us reach our fundraiaing goal by making a online donation and by posting a message of support. Any contribution small or large is greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much for your support!

The Matt Ratana Rugby Foundation
Our mission is simple - to change life experiences through Rugby, harnessing the power of the game to make a positive, lasting impact on individuals' lives, developing skills and strengthening communities. Something that Matt did every day of his 54 years of life.
